The HCCH Tuberculosis (TB) shelter is a partnership with the Orange County Health Department and the State of Florida. This 11-bed shelter offers a residential facility for homeless men and women suffering from active tuberculosis in Orange County. Patients receive on-site supervised therapy in an environment that ensures their safety, recovery, and limits their interaction with the community as a whole.
Without this alternative, homeless TB patients would have to be placed in hospitals or in area hotels to complete their course of treatment. Our program offers a safe and comfortable home for patients and ensures a healthier community.
